Finding Calm in the Moment
Guided Meditation Practices
Our body responds to our thoughts. There is a correlation between our thoughts, sensations and emotions. When we have a thought such as "I’m going to miss the deadline," our body responds immediately, our mouth dries, our breath becomes shallow and faster, we may get a sinking feeling in our stomach, tightness in our chests. However, in the heat of the moment, we go into auto-pilot and ignore what our body is telling us.
Yet our body and our breath are the ones that are going to carry us through the task in order to meet the deadline. By stopping and checking in with our body and breath, we can regain control of ourselves and how we then proceed. The audios here provide you with a quick technique that you can use whilst at work by taking a quick time out to check in with yourself.

"A Mindful Minute" Series
The “Mindful Minute” series of nine short, guided meditation practices was created to provide an “on the spot” calming and centering respite during the day that can be helpful to do before facing stressful interactions and situations, or any time you just need to take a pause, breathe, chill, and go forward.
Each one offers a short instruction to settle into the present; invite poise, dignity, respect, and self-care to nurture your mind, body and spirit; let go of stressful thoughts; and use the power of your breath to release tightness and tension without needing to go into the story about why it exists. This is followed by one minute of silent practice, and a simple “re-entry” back into your day.
